In the art world, who the artist is, the person, is almost as important as the work they create. David Parker's colorful work is a merely a reflection of his own colorful life. From his earliest childhood Parker was submerged in the arts. He is an artist from an artistic family, the product of genetics and environment, whose direction was predetermined from the start. And, in a life that has always been dominated by the need to create, Parker has demonstrated a constant striving for artistic excellence.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1958, Parker was originally trained in drawing and painting by his Mother Eileen K. Doolittle, (The Poet-Painter: Newsweek). Parker studied art at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado and then worked as an illustrator for CBS. After a career in advertising and commercial design Parker pursued his true passion as a painter beginning in 1987. Since that time his work has been exhibited across the United States and Europe. He has produced over 3500 original oil paintings on canvas, all of which have been purchased by collectors and art enthusiasts around the world.

Parker is considered "An artist's artist", living and working with the same exuberance and spirit with which he paints. He is a romantic adventurer, an ardent traveler, and a passionate outdoorsman, who enjoys spending his free time fly fishing in remote regions of the world, skiing and working on his farm, while painting these experiences with a fevered joy and enthusiasm, which few have matched.

David Parker currently lives on a vineyard in Southern France with his wife Isabelle and their two small children, River and Sole'.
